It finally arrived here in Gernay yesterday. I could only give it one spin yesterday evening and a half in the car this morning, but there seem to be some very heavy earworms on it. :)
First of all there are very clever vocal arangements on the record (lead and backing vocals). Great stuff! Wondering how you will carry that onto stage...

I received English Electric Part One and I am once again blown away by the quality, the depth, the richness, the magical touch of Big Big Train's work. Your music is so high... You're entering the olympus of prog music... Bravo, bravo, bravo ... Laurent, a French fan ...

Thanks for English Electric Part 1. I love the rich and complex arrangements - the beautiful vocal harmonies on 'Winchester from St Giles' Hill' are especially stunningly spine-tingling. Prog album of 2012? I definitely think so! If there are Prog Awards next year I would hope to see you as winners.

Uncle Jack is now the official hymn of my office in Paris, we're playing it for beginning each new day !

Got the album a week ago and can't stop playing it. The more I listen, the more impressed I get. By now, on my tenth or eleventh listen, I'm convinced it's the best album I've heard for a very, very long time, and I tend to buy two or three albums a month. My 'favourite' track has changed half a dozen times and at the moment Judas and a Boy in Darkness are battling against both Hedgerows. But then what about Upton Heath, and Winchester ... Oh, I don't know, it's all too good.
